Gabriel studied Mathematics and Science (grades 5-10). While at the college, he was a very active student in extra curricula aspects. During his college time (2003-2005), he used his minimum ICT skills that he acquired at secondary school to run the computer lab for the college as there was no designated technician or administrator to handle, and, impressed by his enthusiasm and relatively advanced ICT skills, the college management gave him the mandate to take care of the lab together with other students of the same interest. This has enabled Gabriel to benefit from ICT capacity building programs organized by Namibia Institute of Education Development (NIED).
After graduating with a diploma in Basic Education, Gabriel later upgraded with University of Johannesburg and obtained an Advanced Certificate in Mathematics and Science Education, he also managed to obtain his ICDL in 2006. He taught Mathematics, Computer Studies and ICT at Nuuyoma Secondary School for 5 years. He then took up a position of a Senior Education Officer for Information Communication Technology Education, where his passion for ICT was greatly entertained as he took charge of ICT in education role for Omusati Region.
Gabriel later obtained a Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT and the Knowledge Society with Dublin City University. He was a beneficially for the African Leadership in ICT (ALICT) program that was facilitated by Global eSchool and Community Initiative (GESCI), where he was awarded the best individual achiever for the Namibia group. Gabriel has subsequently completed and obtained a Masters degree in Leadership Development in ICT and Knowledge Society from University of Mauritius.
Gabriel is a research enthusiast, he presented papers as Mathematics Congress, University of Namibia Research conferences and during National Science week events.
